Here is where it gets interesting
By lowering the estrogen level you are actually tricking the brain. The brain constantly reads the level of estrogen in the body and when it notices are drop in estrogen it goes about to replace that estrogen. Since estrogen is needed for health, libido and bone. The fastest method to create more estrogen is by the body making more testosterone and here you have it a testosterone booster! Because you repeat this process day after day it has a cumulative effect and the testosterone levels raise up higher and higher.
The rate limiting step
By completing this trickery on the brain you get away with the effects for awhile, however the body always learns eventually what you are trying to do and this is one of the many reasons why many testosterone boosters have a small increase in testosterone but nothing like what the advertising suggested it would have. Testosterone creation begins from the brain, the hypothalamus releases GNRH (gonadotropin releasing hormone) which stimulates the pituitary to release LH (leutinizing hormone) and FSH (follicle stimulating hormone).
LH and FSH travel from the pituitary through the body into the testes where they stimulate the production of testosterone and sperm respectively. Once the LH hits the cells within the testes known as leydig cells these cells go about recruiting cholesterol into the cell and from there the cholesterol is then converted into testosterone and released into the body.
The first supplement on our discussion today is D-Aspartic Acid
This amazing amino acid increases a transport protein known as sTAR this protein is what transports cholesterol into the leydig cells within the testes, so the more sTAR transport protein you are able to make the more cholesterol can be utilized in creating testosterone.
D-Aspartic Acid has been shown to increase sTAR transport protein by 90%, resulting in an increase in testosterone through cholesterol conversion.
When taken alone you will notice little benefit….however when combined with D-Aspartic acid like in the product TransSynergy DAA watch out! These 2 amino acids combined are simply incredible.
You see within the brain you have what are known as NMDA receptors these receptors are also responsible for making testosterone, growth hormone, and dopamine. The NMDA receptor has 2 binding sites known as ligands. These 2 ligands are the glycine binding site and the Aspartic acid binding site. By binding to both sites at the same time you are then able to active the NMDA receptor and create more testosterone, growth hormone and the feel good hormone dopamine. Sarcosine is used in place of gycine since it binds to the glycine site with a higher affinity than glycine itself….glycine is actually quite poor at binding to the site.
Once activated the NMDA receptor releases a higher amount of LH and FSH along with GH which then makes the testes respond even more to make more testosterone. Because D-Aspartic Acid and Sarcosine work on the basis of the NMDA receptor and cholesterol transport protein sTAR they do not reduce estrogen as such when testosterone increases so will the conversion of testosterone into estrogen so it is highly important to take an Aromatase inhibitor like Res100 when taking them.
Since testosterone is made from cholesterol it is important to have a healthy cholesterol profile as such the intake of healthy fats are important. Very good sources with the most benefit will be krill oil and extra virgin olive oil both have been known to improve the cardiovascular system health along with reducing LDL (bad cholesterol) and increasing HDL (good cholesterol) additionally extra virgin olive oil since it has been around much longer than krill oil has been found to actually increase testosterone and the weight of the testes.
